A packed house filled Fermanian Fellowship Hall last night and overflowed into the parking lot of Sts. Vartanantz Church as the community turned out for a fundraiser for a hospital in Yerevan where Armenian soldiers are sent to rehab and recover from wounds suffered defending our lands in Artsakh.
Following dinner, the attendees stepped outside for cigars and camaraderie by the fire pit.
Thanks to everyone who showed up, to those that sent in donations, to Der Kapriel for his words of encouragement and to all who helped make this such a successful evening.
We raised enough funds to be able to purchase a hospital bed. The cost for a bed is $1700.00.
We may be 7000 miles from our homeland, but it was clear last night that the guests were there for more than a dinner and a night out.
We should all feel good that we did our small part to help out those in real need of assistance.
